Translucent blocks in several colors are an ideal addition to lessons about light. Kids can play with them at a light box, board, or table and watch as light filters through the blocks. They can also play around with mixing colors by layering the blocks. Continue developing fine-motor skills when lacing buttons and beads during fine-motor activities. Kids can also work on their counting skills while stacking pieces.
