Kids discover the science behind seed and plant anatomy as they germinate herbs and flowers during plant projects. They learn about the various factors and conditions plants need to grow. This includes experimenting with light sources, adjusting how much water is provided to plants, changing the temperature, or adjusting the amount of space where a plant grows. In the process, kids learn how plants absorb nutrients and how long it takes for them to grow under different conditions. Friendly illustrations introduce kids to the plant lifecycle.
Each planter (3"L x 3"W x 3"H) includes a fertile fiber pot, soil pod, wooden stake for plant identification, and a packet of seeds. Planter Set includes 16 planters (4 ea basil, oregano, parsley, marigold), 2 spray bottles (16 oz), and lesson direction. Complete Set includes everything in the Planter Set, plus a portable greenhouse for kids. It features a Magnus tubing A-frame with a 25 mm thick clear vinyl shell. Translucent shelves allow light to flow through to all plants. Greenhouse is 43"L x 33-3/4"W x 57"H; 35 lb. Ages 3 and up.
