Break down the hand washing process into 3 simple steps. Start by waving your hand in front of the timer; no need to touch it to start the countdown. It then counts down 5 seconds to prep and get soap, then displays 20 seconds to scrub hands, and ends with 5 seconds of rinsing. Play a beep or music to indicate when to change to the next handwashing task, or turn off sounds to serve as only a visual reminder. Hang it on a mirror using a suction cup on the back of the timer.
